“SUN” is a song about earthlings evolving up to a Type 1 civilization that achieves political and social equality and collaboration. One of the prime aspects of an advanced civilization is the ecological control of all sources of clean energy to power it. The Sun is the most obvious power source, along with such forces of nature as gravity, wind, thermal, ocean currents, magnetism, planetary spin, hydrogen and fusion. If humans can attain clean and free and limitless energy to power ourselves, then we can eventually advance onward and upward to becoming a Type 1 then a Type 2 civilization that controls our entire solar system and beyond.
