SongStream for the Resistance – part 1

Music videos with lyrics for the first 5 songs of a 10 song Project that I call “SongStream for the Resistance”. This is my take on the Social, Political and Economic conditions we find ourselves in with this crazy world of today. It is my reply to the lack of honest leadership on all sides of the spectrum.

I am neither a Democrat or a Republican and I identify as an Independent Progressive Populist. I freely express plenty of criticism for all sides of the government and ruling class. Therefore, I do not find it necessary to actually name or show any living politicians in this Project. If the shoe fits, wear it.

The music is all performed by real musicians playing real musical instruments. There is no Artificial Intelligence or audio loops involved whatsoever. I utilize the Rock genre because I still feel it is the best one for Protest Songs and also Rock is my preferred type of music. As for the videos, because of my near zero budget, I do produce them to include both AI images and regular digital photos.

This Project has been in the works for over 10 years. I actually wrote the songs in 2014 and 2015. Everything got delayed because I lost my day job after the Great Recession and was forced into bankruptcy. My house and recording studio got foreclosed on. I devised a strategy and beat the banks in Bankruptcy Court, but I still had to sell my property to pay my debts. Then I had to move three times over the next few years. Now I’m settled and built a new smaller recording studio and I can finish this Project and continue on to more.

It is amazing how relevant the lyrics are reflecting on where we find ourselves today. The videos I am creating bring it all up to date, but it shows how the problems of human nature and social inequity remains essentially the same throughout history. I always include the disclaimer that all the opinions and ideas expressed in this Project do not necessarily reflect those of the musicians and other people that I work with. They are mine alone and I take all the credit or blame because, after all, I wrote the songs and created the videos that go with them.

Watch for part 2 of this Project. Also, you can read my blog on this site for more thoughts and ideas.
